FIREFIGHTERS from Buckfastleigh were called into action yesterday, Thursday, March 26, following reports of a car fire on the A38.

The crew from Buckfastleigh Fire Station attended the scene near South Brent at around 11.30pm.

Alongside colleagues from Ivybridge, the Buckfastleigh crew put out the fire using a hose reel jet.

‘The car was 90 per cent damaged by the fire and the cause was accidental’, said a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
