CHAGFORD firefighters have been helping to talk a farm fire near Tiverton until the early hours of this morning, Sunday.

Fire Control said they had ‘mobilised a number of fire engines following a call reporting a barn well alight, which was spreading to domestic premises.

‘Final details are that a range of buildings, 30 metres x 40 metres consisting of one barn and private residential were involved.

‘The fire spread from the barn to the main building.

‘The barn has been 100% destroyed by fire and the house 50% destroyed by fire The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.’
