Teign u3a of Newton Abbot have thrown out an invitation to their open morning on Wednesday, May 18.

Press officer Brigitte West says: ‘Come and join us at 10am at the Courtenay Centre in Newton Abbot where you will have a chance to meet some of our members and find out what we are all about.

‘Our members come from all over the surrounding area and car rides can often be shared.

‘The No limits Cafe will be serving steaming cups of tea with delicious homemade cake, an ideal time to sit and chat with the committee members where a warm welcome is assured.’

Group leaders will be on hand to explain what activities their groups are involved in.

‘You might be interested in photography or perhaps try your hand at  jewellery making?

‘Maybe one of our walking groups appeals to you with a tasty pub lunch to follow?

‘We have a large membership but are always open to new members.

‘Our ages range from 50 to beyond 90, as long as you are retired or semi retired you are most welcome to join us in our journey of learning and laughter.’

‘Take this opportunity to do something new and make new friends.’
