'ANGRY' residents have launched a last-ditch campaign to try to stop a large housing estate being built on a hill overlooking Teignmouth.
They are lobbying councillors to oppose a scheme to build up to 255 homes on a steeply sloping site off the Higher Exeter Road.
It could swell the population by more than 700, putting even more strain on the local infrastructure, especially the already busy and narrow Exeter Road, one of the main arteries into the resort.
The application was deferred by Teignbridge planners in May and is due to be debated again on July 29 at Forde House.
