DOZENS of people enjoyed a festive spread and entertainment at Teignmouth’s Alice Cross Centre.

The Christmas Day lunch was deemed a ‘huge success’.

A spokesman said: ‘The food was incredible, the ambience wonderful and our guests had a lovely time, enjoying friendship and festive cheer.

‘It was all made possible by the hard work of our volunteers, the kindness of our community who helped us reach our fundraising target including donations.

‘It’s amazing what can be achieved when we all give a helping hand.’

Lunch-goers left with gifts and goodie bags with mince pies and stollen donated by Mini Heaven and Shaldon Bakery.

Donations came from Tozers LLP and The Devon Highwaymen, plus food donations from Morrisons and Tesco, turkeys and mince pies from HITS and Christmas lights from Jack’s Patch.
