MORE?than 50 objections have been lodged against a planning application to increase the height of a block of flats at Teignmouth.
Planning consent has already been granted for the development on the site of the former Knoll Hotel in Winterbourne Road, but now the owners want to make it taller.
Many neighbours fear the building will be more than 50ft high, becoming an eyesore across a wide area.
They say the original permission was given a decade ago by the Secretary of State, against fierce local opposition and over ruling the planners.
