THE children's exhibits at the annual Shaldon Summer Horticultural Show were described as 'exceptional' by the judges. Entries may have been down on last year, but so many visitors turned up, extra seating had to laid on at St Peter's Church. The other venue was the Victoria Hall. More than 65 lunches were served by Anne Mears and her team. The general standard of all the entries was extremely high, and the organisers are urging more villagers to have a go next year.
