THREE veteran cyclists who pedalled 800 miles from Bilbao in Spain to Roscoff in France during the summer heatwave, raised more than £1,500 for three cancer charities.

Richard Bartlett, 80, from Shaldon, and Gil Gill, 77, from Teignmouth, are both recovering from cancer, and were accompanied by Dave Rice, 64, from Teignmouth, as they slogged their way up the Atlantic coast in temperatures of 38C and strong winds.
