HE rode his bike all the way from London to Teignmouth to see his sick gran.

It took Richard Bridger, 24, five days to cover the 230 miles along the very hilly coastal route, and he raised more than £800 for Cancer Research.

Gran, Jean Wood of Yannon Drive, is suffering from bone cancer, and Richard said he just wanted to do something to help the charity.

He set off from Finsbury Park on his old Raleigh mountain bike, and arrived in Teignmouth on Monday, aching all over, but pleased with his achievement.
