TEIGNMOUTH Film Society has some important news this month for film-goers – the society is moving venue!

Hilary Olek, the Teignmouth Film Society Film Booker, says: ‘The Teignmouth Film Society will be hosted at the Shaftesbury Theatre, Dawlish, where we very much hope that we will be able to welcome not only old friends from Teignmouth, but new friends who live in Dawlish too.’

Their next screening, ‘Like Father Like Son’, is on Friday, October 21.

Hilary adds: ‘Our film is an award-winning movie from the leading Japanese director, Hirokazu Koreeda.

‘It is the story of two families from very different backgrounds and what happens when they discover, six years after the event, that their baby boys were accidentally swapped at birth.

It is described as ‘A big-hearted movie about acceptance and parenthood’.

Doors open at 7pm with the film beginning at 8pm. It will run for two hours. Entry is £5 at the door.
