I’d like to endorse the comments made by John Mitchell, of Manor Road in the MDA edition of October 27, regarding the return of the post office to its proper place in the Market Square.

I live in Highweek and find if I need to post a parcel or use any of the other services available at the post office I have to drive to the other side of town. Whereas if it was back in the Market Square it would be central for the needs of all and much more accessible.

What’s more, the empty PO building is an eyesore and a complete waste of what was a well-equipped and spacious facility.

My plea to the councillors of TDC is please consider the needs of the local population and put those first.
