POLICE, Fire crews and the Air Ambulance were out in force this afternoon, Sunday, at Baker’s Bark, Newton Abbot, following concerns for the welfare of a person.

A police spokesperson confirmed they have been dealing with an incident in the Puritan’s Pit area of Bradley Woods.

Multiple emergency service vehicles descended upon Bakers Park this afternoon.

The air ambulance, three fire engines, as well as two additional fire rescue vehicles, ambulances and police vehicles were spotted at the Newton Abbot park.

The police deployed a drone to assist in the search.

One witness described the fire fighters to be wearing climbing gear: harnesses and helmets.

By 5pm the police said the incident had been resolved and the person was now safe.
