Inspired by the way rainbows have become a sign of hope and solidarity during the pandemic, Chudleigh Knighton School’s Ethos Committee wanted to explore ways of spreading joy in their local community.

Together, they came up with the idea of creating a ‘School Rainbow’.

The children have worked hard in their ‘class bubbles’ to collaboratively create a beautiful rainbow of artwork and poetry, featuring the work of each and every child. Each colour strand on the rainbow has been designed by a Year Group, reflecting a range of Christian Values.

A spokesman said: ‘Creating this artwork has brought our school community together at a time when our classes have had to remain physically apart. The children are very proud of what they have made and hope it brings a smile to passers-by as they travel through the village.’
