PUPILS and staff at Wolborough Primary School are today calling on Newton Abbot people to support their table top sale to help pay for Therapy Dog Arthur’s training.
They are fundraising to put the lovely Arthur through training and become a fully fledged member of the Wolborough Team as the School Therapy Dog.
Arthur’s training will be with the Dog Mentor Programme.
The Dog Mentor Programme has built upon the benefits of the human-animal bond by providing children positive experiences with dogs that can help them educationally, developmentally, emotionally and socially.
Over the past eight years, implementation of The Dog Mentor Programme in Primary and Secondary schools across the UK has proven to have significant impact on many children’s lives.
These positive impacts follow the premise that improving communication within schools will improve behaviour.
The table top sale is tonight, Wednesday, from 4.30pm t0 7pm at Wolborough Nursery and Primary School in Newton Abbot’s Wolborough Street.
So back their cause and help Arthur to become their Therapy Dog
