AN animal charity rescuing mostly hedgehogs is celebrating a ‘fantastic weekend of fundraising’.
Revellers at this year’s Easter Fair in Abbotskerswell were once again super supportive of ELM Wildlife, a registered charity that rescues and rehabilitates wildlife, primarily hedgehogs.
‘A big thank you to Belinda Rowell for inviting us and giving us the opportunity to raise much needed funds’ a spokesperson for the charity said.
Sales from the stall, as well as raffle tickets, raised more than £450 for the South Devon charity, funds described as ‘desperately’ needed.
‘We also had a special visit from Anne Marie Morris MP, who popped by to see us and say hello’ the spokesperson added.
Elsewhere, Ippleprickle and Friends, a group of hedgehog loves living in and around Ipplepen, held a plant stall in aid of the charity, raising some £140 described as ‘fantastic’ by ELM Wildlife.
‘Thank you to everyone who is digging deep and supporting us’ the spokesperson said.
