AN AFRICAN children’s choir is performing twice next month in Teignmouth.

The LIV Village Choir from Durban, South Africa, is playing at Teignmouth Pavilions on August 3 and Teignmouth Baptist Church on August 7.

Glenda Chadwick-Down, minister at the Baptist church, said: ‘LIV village is an amazing Christian project in South Africa which provides a home, education and future for vulnerable and orphaned children.

‘Their beautifully talented children’s choir are currently touring the UK for three months, and twice in Teignmouth.

‘Having had the privilege of hearing the choir earlier this year in Durban I would highly recommend it.’

Tickets are available for the Pavilions concert. At Teignmouth Baptist Church the choir will be taking part in the morning service. At the church service there will also be a talk from the village founders Tich and Joan Smith.
