A LARGE agricultural building on the edge of Dunsford could be replaced by new homes under plans submitted to Teignbridge Council.

The application - reference 26/01479/FUL - is seeking permission from Teignbridge Council to demolish one, large agricultural building at land adjacent to Westview Farm, pictured, and build four dwellings.

‘The proposed scheme represents an efficient and sensitive use of land, replacing an agricultural building with a coherent group of dwellings designed to sit comfortably within the surrounding landscape’, the planning statement says.

Teignbridge Council are expected to decide on the application by November 18.

The planning statement continues: ‘The proposals seek to redevelop previously developed agricultural land with a small-scale residential scheme that is appropriate in scale, design and character to its rural setting.

‘The development has been carefully considered to ensure it responds positively to its context, improves the appearance of the site and delivers high-quality housing with associated environmental and sustainability benefits’.
