TWO motorists were temporarily blinded by the beam of a laser pen as they drove along Kingsway, Teignmouth, which could have resulted in a Christmas tragedy.

The beam was aimed directly at the eyes of the drivers who managed to avoid an accident in the incidents at 5.40pm on Christmas Day.

Some youths were seen nearby and police officers searched the residential area but failed to find the culprits.
