A KINGSTEIGNTON RESIDENT, name and address supplied, writes: There were two items in this week’s Advertiser which rankled with me, the picking-up of dog poo. I am 100 per cent behind Cllr Sylvia Russell and wish her good luck with that. My main hang-up is the same as John Balment’s article. Kingsteignton has been plagued with a ‘black bag dropper’ for several years now. Recently I wrote the following on a luggage label and carried the label in my purse until the time I next saw the offending bag: ‘To the dropper of the poo bag (and many more around the town), you are a disgrace to the community, not a decent person, and not fit to own a dog’. Three days later, I had my chance, and used the label. Three days after that, both bag and label had gone. I am hoping it was read by the offender, and they disposed of it in the bin, just a few yards away, and felt shameful
