AN exhibition of world war one artefacts can be viewed at Ashburton Town Hall tomorrow.

Organised by the town’s Royal British Legion branch, it will be open between 10am and 3pm and is featuring details of all those named on the Ashburton war memorial, the St John Ambulance during the war, the part played by the portreeve, and much more.

From 10am until 11.30am, the RBL is holding a coffee morning in the town hall for the Poppy Appeal, and at 11.45am there is an auction of a Tower of London Ceramic Poppy – the highest bid is currently £320.
