Councillors in Teignmouth will tonight debate the perennial problem of residents’ parking - or lack of it.

A finance and general purposes committee, which starts at Bitton House, Bitton Park Road, at 6,30pm, has the matter on the agenda.

There have been complaints for years about the lack of available parking in Teignmouth, with no real solutions found. Suggestions have included a multi-storey car park being built in the area of the docks.

The meeting is open to the public, but you can speak only if you have already given three days’ notice
