AN adoption charity based in Buckfastleigh is planning two more information sessions for prospective parents.

Families for Children Trust is a specialist agency and charitable trust which places vulnerable children from across the UK with new adoptive families in Devon, Dorset, Cornwall and Somerset.

Spokesman Katey McDonald said: ‘We have a growing number of older children, sibling groups and children with disabilities waiting to be adopted and we are looking for more adopters to come forward quite quickly.

‘These information sessions give parents a chance to learn about becoming an adopter and how they can be supported for life.’

Next meetings in south Devon are in the New Year.

On Thursday, January 5, between 6.30pm and 8.30pm, charity staff will be at the Kenn Centre, Exeter Road, Kennford and on Saturday February 4 between 10am and noon, they will be at the Families For Children headquarters at Southgate Court, Buckfastleigh.
