A NEW major planning application has been received by Teignbridge Council for further development at a caravan site in Stover.

The application proposal seeks to use the land for the stationing of static holiday caravans, touring caravan storage, a warden’s accommodation, a pub, a café, a shop and ancillary facilities.

The application also includes the temporary use of buildings for storage.

The proposed developments are set to be located on Wisteria Road of Regency Court. Regency Court is a new, already approved development opposite Stover Golf Course, which is yet to be finished and currently lacks any facilities. The application was received on October 6 and validated on October 17.

The original development was approved by Teignbridge Council in November 2016, under the condition that the land is strictly used for holiday accommodation only.

The reason for this is: ‘In the interests of local amenity and in acknowledgement of the nature of the change of use permission.’

The new proposal has also recently been given the green light by South West Water in regard to water management.
