A FAMILY fun day is on at Teignmouth Den tomorrow, from 10am to 4pm.

Parents, teachers and pupils from Our Lady and St Patrick RC Nursery and Primary School have joined forces with parishioners from All Saints Parish to organise the event.

There’ll be entertainment from acoustic band Harbour, the school choir and school dance club; bouncy castles; donkey rides; traditional fete games; craft and charity stalls; face-painting and hair braiding; junk modelling and refreshments.

As well as a fun day for families involved in the school and parish, the event aims to show the important role the school and church play as part of the wider community.

Zoe Newton-Browne, chair of the Friends of Our Lady and St Patrick Nursery and Primary School, said: ‘Organising our family fun day has been a lot of fun and we’re really excited to show the vital role OLSP and the All Saints Parish plays at the heart of the local community.’

The day will run alongside the Teignmouth Harbour Festival and Blessing of the Boats event taking place on the back beach to complete a day of festivities celebrating the town and its community.
