RESIDENTS in Dawlish are invited to join in the National Moment of Reflection.
The government has organised the national moment which will be marked by a minute’s silence on Sunday September 18 at 8pm, the evening before Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s State Funeral.
Dawlish Town Council is asking as many people as would like to do so to join the Mayor of Dawlish, Cllr Lisa Mayne at the bandstand on the Lawn at 7.55pm on Sunday in readiness for the silence at 8pm.
Anyone with a mobile phone is asked to use it as a torch light as a symbol as part of the moment of reflection when asked to put it on by the Mayor.
