POLICE and councillors are to crack down on yobs who are taking over Teignmouth's new skate park at night.

The facility on the site of the former redundant paddling pool on the seafront is popular with all ages from toddlers to teenagers, who are practising their skills and techniques on scooters, bikes and boards.

The mayor, Cllr Ian Parkes, visited the park for a progress report and found it was being well used during the day.
