MAGISTRATES have remanded a Newton Abbot man facing charges of making threats and possessing a kitchen knife on conditional bail.
Stephen Northcott, 37, of St Anne’s Court, Coronation Road, is accused of threatening Michael Jones by claiming he would get petrol from a petrol station to use to burn down Mr Jones’ home on March 30 2021.
Also on March 30, Northcott is charged without lawful authority being in possession in a public place of an eight inch silver kitchen knife.
Northcott has pleaded not guilty to both charges.
He was remanded on conditional bail until June 6.
