MAGISTRATES have adjourned the case of a Dawlish man charged with assault.

Louie Winfield, 38, of Second Avenue, pleaded not guilty to a charge of assaulting a woman by beating at Teignmouth on September 23 2021.

The case was adjourned for trial.

Winfield indicated a plea of guilty to two further charges, one of assaulting a man causing actual bodily harm on September 23 2021 and another of having a metal bar in a public place, Kingsway Teignmouth, without lawful excuse on the same date.

Both those charges were adjourned for sentencing after the trial.
