A HANDFUL of objectors from Royal Court failed in their bid to prevent Teignmouth Town Council getting a premises licence for a marquee on the Den which could have put the mockers on some of the town's Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
In the end more residents from Royal Court, overlooking the Den, supported the application than objected, including sending in a 45 signature petition.
The council applied for an all the year around premises licence to allow regulated entertainment and the supply of alcohol Monday-Sunday from 11am-11pm.
