A big lorry parked illegally in a Teignmouth town centre pedestrian area highlighted the problem that is annoying councillors and shoppers.

The truck was photographed making deliveries in the Little Triangle at 11am on Monday – an hour after the ban on vehicles entering the area came into force.

Town clerk Dave Tickell has promised to get tough on the blatant breaches of the regulations, and says he will act on any photographic evidence sent to him at Bitton House.

'We are fed up with this. No vehicles are allowed into the Triangle between 10am and 5pm – apart from a very few exemptions – but several refuse and delivery lorries ignore the regulation.
