Could be the biggest thing to hit the town

Mike and Jill Fairweather, of Fairweather News, Teignmouth, write:

We are writing to give our full support to the music concert by Muse to be held on the Den, Teignmouth.

This could be the biggest thing to happen to Teignmouth and a real feather in the cap.

The economic benefits could be huge and this event application must be passed.

While there will be logistical problems, we are confident they can be overcome – they must be overcome! Hopefully, Teignbridge Council will tackle this head-on and rise to the challenge of staging such an event and not take the easy way out by failing to grant permission.

We both admire and would like to thank Muse for wanting even to do this.

Further, I would like to suggest that an event such as this could be made an annual one with a different band every year (but perhaps a band not as massive as Muse!) if an organiser or promoter can be found.

I look forward to hearing the correct decision has been made on August 17.
