THE Secretary of State for Transport has approved a Compulsory Purchase Order for sections of land alongside the A382 between Bovey Tracey and Newton Abbot.
The order provides for the purchase of the land by Devon Counbty Council to develop and improve the highway between the Drumbridges Roundabout on the A38 and Forches Cross.
It is intended to dual carriageway the road between the A38 and the Trago Mills roundabout.
The land being purchased comprises:
► Sections of the private verge and access road at Ilford Park
► Woodland at Hunters Moon Lodge
► 1,500 sqm of grassland at Stover Golf Course
► Woodland at Stover Park Farm
► Grassland at theOld Toll House,
► Woodland at Mainbow Nurseries
► Woodland at Stover Caravan Club
► 4,000 sqm of woodland on the north east of the A382
