Firefighters from Teignmouth, Dawlish, Torquay and Totnes battled a first-floor blaze at Teignmouth Community School last night.

The fire involved a two-storey building used as a workshop and around half of it was damaged.

Gas cylinders, while not directly involved, were cooled as a precaution.
