GARDENERS in Exminster are holding a plant and produce sale.
Members of Exminster Community Garden will be hosting the stall on Friday September 11 between 3pm and 4pm by Coffee on the Corner.
Also available will be apples donated from gardens in the village.
Organisers are hoping for donations which will go towards seeds and small supplies for the garden.
Spokesman Jeremy Pyne said: ‘We're approaching an exciting stage at the community garden where we may be able to look to invest over the autumn in some more basic infrastructure and facilities that would really represent a step change in where we go from heres
‘The most critical of these is a decent shed or storage building with associated rain harvesting as water shortage has been a real headache for us this summer.’
In preparation, the volunteers are looking for recommendations for affordable shed supply or design and any community and volunteer offers of help with design and construction.
Jeremy added: ‘We also really want to further develop the communal space and improve accessibility so we can broaden the appeal and really help make this project have as great a community impact as we can.’
