TODAY’S (Sunday) racing at Exeter Racecourse is a casualty of Storm Ciara.

The Help of Heroes Raceday scheduled for today at the Haldon course has been abandoned due to the weather.

In a statement on their website organisers said that sadly they have had to abandon the event as wind speeds have reached unacceptable mph gusts this morning and localised forecasts predict this to continue for the remainder of today, affecting racing operation, public safety and grandstand areas.

The course is working working closely with the BHA to explore options for restaging races.
