After the long months of lockdown and Zoom practising, Choir 86 has emerged into the world of rehearsals in person – and they say they ‘could not be more excited’.

Choir member Sarah Barr said: ‘With support from Newton Abbot RFC we were able to rehearse in their stand over the past few weeks (come rain or shine) which lifted all our spirits.

‘We are even more excited to be coming together with the Forde Park Community Project for a free concert in Forde Park this Sunday (July 25) from 2pm to 3pm (near the Pavilion) to celebrate our new found freedom.

‘Bring your chair or rug, buy tasty refreshments from the Pavilion and relax and enjoy a wonderful hour of music ranging from sea shanties, through the ’50s and ’60s and up to the modern day.

‘Don’t miss this chance to celebrate our freedom.’
