A DARTMOOR-based charity is celebrating a diverse season of tree planting across the national park.
It has been a busy and varied tree planting season for Moor Trees.
The charity, which was established at the turn of the millennium, is dedicated to recreating native woodland across Dartmoor and surrounding areas.
Its latest planting season saw the charity create a large new area of woodland, planting nearly 6,000 trees over five acres, at Bickington; collaborate with Challacombe Farm for some river valley restoration, plant 800 more Wistman’s provenance trees at Wiseman’s Woods and much more besides.
‘We would like to thank everyone who supported our work over the winter months — from the landowners we collaborated with, to the dedicated volunteers in our nurseries and out on planting days’, the charity said.
