THERE is a chance to get up and close with the Teignmouth lifeboat The Two Annes when the station holds an open weekend.

Tomorrow the crew will be hosting the event, and on Sunday the fundraising team take over, when there will be games, musical entertainment and stalls along with a BBQ, and the team’s famous homemade cakes and refreshments.

An air and sea rescue demonstration is due to take place on Sunday at 11.30am on the seafront by the pier, involving a rescue helicopter, Teignmouth RNLI Inshore Lifeboat and the all weather RNLI lifeboat from Torbay, subject to emergency call outs.

The events run from 10am to 4pm each day.
