A DAWLISH-Born woman celebrated turning 100 with friends and family.

Joan Weeks was born in Wisteria Cottage on the High Street on August 18, 1919.

Then Joan Pine, she attended primary school in Dawlish before moving on Teignmouth by which time her family had moved to Coastguard Cottages from where she went on to take the train to Teignmouth Grammar School.
