A FASION show is set to dazzle audiences at the Phoenix Hall in Bovey Tracey as Rowcroft celebrates its 40th anniversary.

Each Rowcroft shop has been tasked with putting on an event of some description to celebrate the charities 40th year and the Bovey shop is gearing up for a fashion show at 7pm on Tuesday May 3.

Tickets, costing £10 and available from the Bovey shop located along Fore Street, include a complimentary glass of Bucks Fizz and a chance to win a bonus prize.

Refreshments will be available on the night and there is also a raffle with an assortment of prizes many of which have been donated by local businesses: a Bovey Whiskey Distillery tour; a luxury picnic hamper and a limited edition Jeremy Leach pot are among the many prizes up for grabs.

Tickets for the raffle cost £1 and are available to purchase from the Bovey shop and on the night.

A swap shop will also be running; a £5 ticket, available from the shop as well as on the night, will allow ticket holders to swap like for like items with other ticket holders.

It is important to note that, due to the nature of the event, card payments will not be accepted on the evening: it will be cash only.

Rowcroft Bovey Tracey manager Manuela Tarquini, who is busy organising the evening, said: ‘We are trying to showcase the Bovey shop, put it back on the map so to speak and encourage people to come out and about again.’

‘Bovey supports Rowcroft in such a huge way and has done for many, many years.

‘I want this to be something for the community, to thank them and I thought by putting on an event like this it is something to look forward to, it’s an evening of entertainment.

‘I hope that people will come out and support us.’
