TEIGNMOUTH'S reputation for putting on a carnival cracker looks set to continue.

Committee chairman Sarah Woolway said they were confident the show would not disappoint the thousands of residents and holidaymakers who looked forward to the week of fun and entertainment.

'Entries are good and still coming in. It has been months in the planning and we are putting the finishing touches.

'But we cannot control the one thing that makes all the difference – the weather. It's fingers crossed that it stays fine, as predicted.'

The carnival starts tomorrow with the official opening and the crowning of the queen, Indiana Henderson, and princess, Sienna Willis-Ponsford, on the Den at 1pm.
