IT’S all systems go for tonight’s Dawlish Celebrates Carnival community parade.

Despite the forecast of heavy rain, organisers are pressing ahead with the finale of the week.

A spokesman said: ‘We have consulted with experts and the forecast is 5pm to 8pm intermittent rain and 8pm to 11pm more persistent rain.

‘So get your waterproofs ready and come and support everyone if you can.’

A flypast by an RAF Spitfire has been confirmed although at a slightly later time than planned.

The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight aircraft will be in the skies over Dawlish at 2.45pm.

There is a warning though, no drones are allowed anywhere near of the flypast will be cancelled.

Tonight’s parade sets off at about 7.15pm.

Before that, there are lots of other events and stalls on the Lawn through the day.
