A TEIGNBRIDGE care home is looking to harness the power of the sun as it submits an application for an array of solar panels.
In a bid to offset high energy costs, The Manor in Exminster is requesting permission for a 35 panel, ground mount photovoltaic array within the grounds of its Grade II listed care home.
The application - reference 25/01576/FUL - also includes provision for an electric vehicle charging point.
‘The proposals are discrete, are of a scale and detail in keeping with the context and will integrate well with existing form/surrounding buildings without causing any visual or physical impact to the setting of the Grade II Listed building’, the design, access and heritage statement for 25/01576/FUL says.
A decision on the application is due on or before November 25.
