A WOMAN from Bovey Tracey is appealing to public to help identify people in a photograph from a bygone era.

Helen Cowell is hoping to put names to the faces from a black and white photo from the 1950s.

‘It was the first thing I ever did that was to do with the theatre’, Helen said.

‘I must have been around 12-years-old.

‘I think it was somewhere in Torquay, possibly Ellacombe, but I do know it was in the 1950s.

‘I recognise one or two people, but there’s a lot that I don't’, Helen added.

And so Helen, whose maiden name was Jordan, is appealing to the public to help identify those in the photograph.
