DEVON County Council’s delayed response to a freedom of information request left Bovey Tracey Town Council with little alternative but to pull out of getting an injunction to prevent the closure of the B3344 Bovey Tracey-Chudleigh Knighton road.

The road closes on Monday for three months for work at Bradley Bends, which will see the carriageway realigned and a culvert rebuilt for a new Bovis Homes housing development.
