NEARLY 100 deep water moorings could be provided in Teignmouth harbour, bringing a big boost to the economy and holiday trade.
Teignmouth councillor Don Baldey, who is also a master mariner, reckons it could be done for about £140,000, and has asked the harbour commission to look at the feasibility of his scheme.
He told a town council finance and general purposes committee meeting that currently there were 36 'swing' moorings that did not dry out.
