Liverton Village Hall was the venue on a thankfully sunny Saturday morning for a fund raising Coffee Morning for the Royal British Legion in its centenary year.

The hall backdrop celebrating 100 years of the RBL was made up of a variety of poppies, some hand knitted, others painted bottom sections of water and soft drinks bottles.

The cake stall continued the theme of the red poppies with a variety of cakes. Other stalls included pebble painting, plants, jewellery, pre-loved, and books, and Rora Fellowship supported the event with their stall.

The team did a great job in the kitchen serving hot and cold drinks, cream teas and cakes. Many thanks go to all for their suppoort, especially donations for the various stalls and the time put in by the team on the day. The event including the raffle raised £415.20 for the RBL Poppy Appeal thanks to the generosity of those that came along.

An additional £100 has been raised from plant sales prior to the event.
