TO celebrate St George’s Day tomorrow (Saturday, April 24) the Teignmouth Farmers’ Market in the town centre Triangle is flying the flag for English traditions.
A spokesman for the market says: ‘You can buy some game pies from Stanbury Game, spicy pasties from India in a Jar, or traditional ones from Red Earth Kitchen.
‘Put together a Ploughman’s lunch with cheeses from Curworthy Dairy or Norsworthy Goats, Scotch eggs from Little Leigh Farm, a healthy hunk of bread from Bread of Devon, mixed with chutneys from Shute Fruit, and some salad greens from Shillingford Organics.
‘Pat-a-Cake has delicious sweet treats for afters. The market has all the makings for a joyous picnic to celebrate a Westcountry spring—you just supply the weather.
They added: ‘Please help keep everyone covid safe by sanitising your hands before entering and using the one way system around the market, queuing if necessary. See you there between 10am and 2 pm.’
