AFTER a difficult two years, the future of the Devon County Show is on a strong footing, thanks in part to the commitment of Mole Valley Farmers.

The farming and rural supply and retail business, which has its headquarters in Devon, has signed a new three-year arrangement which sees it continue as headline sponsor of the show.

Regular visitors will already be aware that Mole Valley Farmers are no strangers to the Devon County Show.

The business has been involved with the show for many years and has been headline sponsor since 2014.

With retail stores across the South West and serving many of the region’s farmers with animal feed, fertiliser and other farm inputs, the Show and Mole Valley Farmers are pleased to work together to deliver one of the UK’s premier agricultural events.

Show Manager, Sam Mackenzie Green said: ‘Mole Valley Farmers have been an amazing support through the years and, in particular, in 2021 when they took the courageous decision to sponsor our show when so many others made the decision to cancel their events.

‘Thankfully, our 2021 show was a gamble that paid off in spades, with a fantastic turn out and incredible support from the public and exhibitors.

‘The security of knowing that Mole Valley Farmers are committed to Devon County Show for three years is invaluable and affords us the opportunity to focus our attention on what we do best, and that’s putting on a great show, with the myriad of attractions our public have come to know and love.’

Jack Cordery, CEO of Mole Valley Farmers said: ‘The Devon County Show is a great event for farmers, the rural community and wider public.

‘It’s a fantastic platform to promote everything that is great about British agriculture.

‘We are committed to the show and the wider industry, and we look forward to an exciting event in 2022.’

The Devon County Show is on Thursday, June 30, Friday and Saturday, July 1 and 2.
