TIME is running out for business owners in Newton Abbot to apply for a share of £10,000 to spruce up their beloved store.

Members of the town council have put forward the cash to help people improve their shop fronts and upgrade access.

The improvement scheme was started up to encourage landlords and tenants to enhance the look of the town.

Business owners can only apply if their shop is on the ground floor, and funds won’t be dished out if the work has already taken place.

A panel will review each application and the amount of cash awarded will depend on the number of applicants.

Hopefuls only have until tomorrow (March 31) to put their business forward.
